We still believe in dreams!

I have certain problems with the freedom, because always there is a authority that say what do. Well, if we have to write about something, it's impossible you don't see the current social circunstances and the uprising of the secundary and universitary students. I'd like to give my point of view that as I see the movement from my condition of anthropology student.
Personally, I think that this movement is the wake up of a country that it is being build for a few. It`s a  rage wich it cannot hold back more itself and it have necessity to go out to streests. This rage is against a lot of things, itisn't involved only the education`s privatization, also it sinks its roots in the rulling politic system and the economic model.

It has implemented a policy of parties, where there is only room for two sides. Therefore, there is no possibility of reaching new benchmarks to the government. That is the essence of the binomial system, decisions in the hands of an elite: the Alianza por Chile and Concertacion. Both clusters have continued with a dictatorial constitution and an economic model that views all citizens as potential customers. Under this doctrine, no dimension of life is saved from falling into the market.
International studies have called the Chilean education as a true apartheid, in which each social class studies  in particular schools and there isn`t social mobility. The public education became extinct,
many people hampered their future by lack  income. So where is the equality guaranteed by the Constitution?

It is this context that frames the struggle for quality, popular and free education. We must require those ileniable right, all the struggle methods are valids. The education problem is only the iceberg's top.
We need a real democracy. This is a civic movement.

Let us follow the example of the UNAM!

  1. I think you are very right Seba. It was so clear that this very last demonstration had to do with EVERYTHING! 600 demonstrations in this country and it is only June. Something must be very wrong.
